Potting Shed PlansIf you love gardening, and growing plants from seeds or even if you just like to buy plants and pot them up, then perhaps a potting shed is something you should consider.

A potting shed is also a great place to store your gardening tools, so you can accomplish your gardening tasks. Any decent sized garden will greatly benefit from this type of garden shed.

The main role of a potting shed is to either pot or repot plants. Potting up a plant makes a fair amount of mess, so a potting shed is a great place to designate for this task. A potting shed is also a great place to start growing seedlings in spring if your shed has lots of windows and faces south. This can all be achieved when considering the design of your potting shed by looking at various potting shed plans.

A potting shed for the avid gardener can be their haven. The best potting shed plans provide both aesthetics as well as provide a practical place to do your gardening work.

A typical potting shed has 1 long workbench which is used for potting plants, dividing bulbs and so on. There is also usually lots of shelving and storage cabinets to hold fertilizer, seeds, bulbs, plant tonics and weed killers. If you have the available space and can build a larger potting shed, then you can include an area to hold rakes, shovels, pruning shears, and any other gardening tools which are used in the garden including lawn mowers and brush cutters.

With a potting shed, it’s very important that you choose the right design from the start, and one extremely important thing to consider is choosing a shed design with plenty of headroom. Just be aware that you will be spending a lot of time in there standing, so you want to be comfortable and not have to bend all the time.

Best,

Brad Smith
